Joey Jayne - Official Website Real Justice For All - Elect Joey Jayne For District Court Judge Lake and Sanders County - Election 2008
Joey Jayne

The Future With A New Direction

JOEY is a candidate for District Court Judge for Sanders and Lake Counties located in northwestern Montana. These counties make up Montana’s 20th Judicial District.

The District Court in Lake County is the only state district court located on a federal Indian reservation in Montana. This court is located on the Flathead Reservation.

Joey is a strong believer in “real justice” and “a new direction.” As a judge, Joey would ensure that no one has “an upper hand,” with bargaining power over individuals, who often come face to face with the establishment

People often feel they don’t have any power at all. As a practicing attorney, Joey sees this in the courtroom. She believes in "real" justice for people. Noting that some people coming into a courtroom will feel defeated and fearful beforehand, Joey will bring to the bench a sense of real justice. "People must not have a feeling of defeat before they walk into the courthouse," Joey vows.

As a Montana State legislator for 4 terms, Joey is familiar with the budgetary appropriation process for the courts, and how it is dependent upon the involvement of judges. Joey knows a judge’s responsibility for proper administration of the court. Joey is adamant that the District Court be run “effectively and efficiently” as it is the taxpayer who ultimately funds the court systems.

Joey believes that a judge must treat people with respect and dignity. Joey will create an atmosphere that will not only allow individuals to feel they will be heard in a timely manner, but that they will be treated with dignity and respect by the court.

The New Direction Is...

"Real Justice for all"

"Common Sense"

"Respect and Dignity to people"

"Timely Decisions"

"Decide impartially"

"Unique perspective”

"Uphold Montana State's Constitution,
laws, statutes, and case law"

Thank You For Your Support!!

We appreciate all the voter turnout and support for Joey. We were short the number of votes needed to elect Joey Jayne for the position, however, the number showed there does need to be a change in the district court judge. The final and offical results will be posted on the week of November 10, 2008.

JOEY'S VISION FOR REAL JUSTICE, NOT FOR SOME, BUT FOR ALL!
